Guy Fawkes Fireworks Spectacular is a thrilling pyrotechnics display at New Brighton Beach, set to the tunes of a different theme each year. There will be a light display followed by the fireworks between 9pm and 10pm.
This year, because of the works on the pier and on the new playground, there will be limited space for public viewing. This year both the South New Brighton and North Beach Surf Clubs will cater to attendees so we can relieve the pressure of central New Brighton.
Food and beverage stalls will be in the Brighton Mall and there will be a live band performing up to 9pm
Information on food stalls, entertainment, transport routes and safety information will be updated on this page closer to the event date.
- For the safety of attendees and preservation of the dunes we are asking people not to bring any fireworks with them.
- The wire left over from sparklers become hidden in the sand on the beach and have caused a particularly bad problem with injuries after the fireworks.
- Rollover date if wet or excessively windy is 6th Nov.
- Special buses running to and from Oram Ave. Central area road closures from 6pm.
