Kia Ora and Welcome

to New Brighton

If you take a quick quarter-hour drive from the centre of Christchurch, you’ll find our character-filled seaside town. We’ve got a lot to offer, whether you’re a local resident, someone popping in from Christchurch for the day or a traveller exploring our fine country of Aotearoa.

You’ll find some quirky and fun cafés, a bunch of shops to go bargain hunting in, plenty of adventures for the outdoorsy types and some interesting street art to check out on the way.

This site pulls together just some of the things we love about our town, so check out our social media posts, browse the top activities we have and discover New Brighton.
